A number of marvels surround the Ile de Chantemesle.
These include the famous Route des Crêtes which runs through the Seine valley between Chérence and La Roche-Guyon. It offers an extraordinary panorama of over one kilometre – scenery that can also be admired from the air if you book a hang gliding session at the nearby aeronautic club of Val d’Oise (Chérence).
Giverny, the Impressionists’ village is just 15 minutes away by car and is home, notably, to the Claude Monet Foundation located in the artist’s former home.
